1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Spindle & Stones ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Spindle & Stones is an AI-powered fortune-telling and spiritual guidance application. It provides:

  • Oracle Readings across nine methods: tarot, astrology, palmistry, runes, numerology, dream interpretation, love oracle, zodiac, and crystal orb.
  • Voice Chat with oracle personas in real time.
  • Daily Cosmic Digest personalized to your birth chart and zodiac sign.
  • Cosmic Weather and astrology news feed.
  • Secrets & Stones gemstone library with birthstone and zodiac stone recommendations.
  • My Circle for saving profiles of loved ones to receive personalized readings about them.
  • Reading History with saved conversations and summaries.

All readings are generated by AI and are for entertainment and spiritual guidance only.

3. User Accounts & Eligibility

  • You must create an account to access full features of the App. Sign-in is supported via email, Apple Sign-In, and Google Sign-In.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in jurisdictions where that is the minimum digital-consent age) to use this App. By creating an account you confirm you meet this requirement.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You may delete your account at any time from within the App (Profile → Delete Account) or via our account deletion page.

4. Stardust Virtual Currency

  • Stardust is a virtual currency used within the App to access certain oracle readings and features (including voice chat, which costs 10 Stardust per minute).
  • Stardust has no real-world monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash.
  • Stardust can be earned through daily rewards, milestones, and achievements.
  • Purchased Stardust is non-refundable except as required by applicable law or platform policies.
  • Stardust is non-transferable between accounts.
  • Spindle & Stones reserves the right to modify Stardust pricing and earn rates at any time.

5. Premium Subscriptions

  • Premium subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, and managed via RevenueCat.
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
  • You may cancel at any time through your device's subscription settings (iOS: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions; Android: Google Play → Profile → Payments & Subscriptions).
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are provided.
  • Premium features may include: voice chat with oracles, saved readings (full history), My Circle profiles for readings about loved ones, daily and weekly personalized reports, and daily Stardust bonuses.
  • Subscription pricing and feature availability may change. Existing subscribers will not be charged a higher price during a current billing period.

6. AI-Generated Content

All readings, predictions, and oracle responses are generated by artificial intelligence systems (including xAI's Grok and Google's Gemini). Oracle characters (Zara, Valentina, Orion, Silas, Sybil, Morpheus, Ragnar, Pythagoras, Astra) are AI-generated personas and do not possess actual psychic, supernatural, or medical abilities.

AI-generated content may occasionally be inaccurate, unexpected, or repetitive. We make no guarantees about the accuracy, completeness, or appropriateness of any reading.

7. Entertainment Disclaimer

IMPORTANT: All readings, predictions, and guidance provided by the App are for entertainment and spiritual exploration purposes only. They should NOT be used as a substitute for professional medical, financial, legal, or psychological advice.

Users should exercise their own judgment and seek qualified professional advice for important life decisions including but not limited to medical care, mental health, finances, legal matters, and relationships.

8. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Misuse the service or use it for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App or our AI systems.
  • Circumvent security measures, rate limits, or access controls.
  • Share your account credentials with others or operate multiple accounts to evade limits.
  • Use the App, voice chat, or AI responses to harass, threaten, defame, or harm others.
  • Submit palm photos that are not of your own hands, or upload photos of any person without their consent.
  • Submit Saved People profiles for individuals who have not consented to their birth data being stored.
  • Submit false, misleading, or harmful content, including attempts to manipulate AI outputs through prompt injection.
  • Use AI-generated readings to defraud, deceive, or impersonate any person.
  • Scrape, mirror, or redistribute App content, oracle responses, or generated images without permission.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice.

9. Voice Chat

Voice chat sessions stream your microphone audio in real time to xAI's Realtime API. By using voice chat, you authorize this real-time streaming. Audio is not stored on our servers — only session metadata (duration and Stardust spent). See our Privacy Policy for details.

You agree not to use voice chat to make threats, transmit unlawful content, or impersonate others.

10. Intellectual Property

All content, designs, oracle character names and personas (Zara, Valentina, Orion, Silas, Sybil, Pythagoras, Ragnar, Morpheus, Astra), AI-generated readings, illustrations, app interface, gemstone descriptions, and underlying source code are the property of Spindle & Stones. You may not reproduce, distribute, sublicense, or create derivative works without written permission.

You retain ownership of any personal data and photos you upload to the App. By uploading, you grant us a limited license to process the data solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.

11. Third-Party Services

The App relies on third-party services including xAI (Grok and Realtime API), Google Gemini Vision, Supabase, RevenueCat, Apple, Google, and Expo. Your use of the App is also subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for outages, failures, or changes to these services that may affect availability of features.

12. Account Termination

You may terminate your account at any time from within the App or via our account deletion page. Upon termination, your profile, palm photos, reading history, and Saved People will be permanently deleted within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., financial records of subscription transactions).

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, abuse the service, or fail to pay applicable charges. Where reasonable, we will provide notice and an opportunity to cure.

13. Limitation of Liability

Spindle & Stones is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for any decisions made based on readings provided by the App.
  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of profits, or emotional distress.
  • We are not liable for service interruptions caused by third-party providers.
  • Our total liability shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you have paid to us for the App in the preceding 12 months, or (b) USD $50.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Spindle & Stones, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the App, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We will notify users of material changes through the App or via email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when these Terms were last revised.

16. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in courts of competent jurisdiction, as permitted by your local law.
